My brother who’s my son’s Godfather is the drinking uncle and the perverse man, I told my brother to not expose my son to his evil ways, my brother and his boyfriend swore revenge for not letting them two perform foul acts on each other in my home, a simple request, they responded by calling social services saying I’m a drug addict junkie who uses drugs with my 6 year old son. As a result I have not seen my son in 7 months and I have another 4 months until my next court date, my brother is lying to my mum by saying it’s not them but I have the evidence pack. 😔 these people are so demonic they will take a child away from a catholic man because I will never allow them to perform perverse acts on each other or walk around MY FAMILY HOME naked, we truly are in the end of days😔 please pray my son Archie can come home to his Dad, pray for him not me. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️

I think it’s about time the Orthodox go after those who have no experience with Jesus Christ. The early church went after those who didn’t know the Lord and helped train those that were not accurate in doctrine.

What the unseen dude said is you can’t be a Christian unless you accept the homosexual lifestyle. The guy on camera explained it beautifully. Sin is sin. God cannot look upon sin which is why on the cross he felt alone when God turned away as Jesus bore all sin upon himself so that the price would be paid for our transgressions.

For everyone struggling with depression & anxiety check out the book Bad Therapy: Why the Kids Aren't Growing Up. The book's main premise is what Fr Truebenbach is talking about here. We've been conditioned to psycho-analyse every minute dumb thought that enters our minds, and to constantly "check-in" to see how we're feeling. This hyper-fixation with the self is what leads to bad thoughts and foul moods. And we do this every minute of every day. I don't remember my grandparents (hard working, no-nonsense Eastern European Orthodox Christians) ever even mentioning their thoughts or feelings. I think they were way too busy with having stuff to do. Now whenever I get tempted to go in search of inner hidden feelings of despair, I get this vision of my grandmother telling me to not be stupid and useless, but get down to work. It works like a charm, snaps me right out of it. Every time 😂

Please just use common sense. Do you think when Paul went around visiting his brothers & sisters and trying to convert both Jews & Gentiles that he had time to dress up in fancy robes? The true Christians were persecuted and Paul knew exactly what would happen to the Truth when he said “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.” ‭

I had abandoned it just before my baptism. It lasted 5 years but i had a spiritual struggle and the devil straight away bombarded me with the temptation to look at it. I did my best to resist but eventually fell. I just fell terrible. I really couldn't believe that I had made such a massive step back. That's when the devil hit me most, trying to make me fall into despair and self hated. But I remembered who is my God, how immense is His mercy. I went to confession as fast as possible and received the most holy Eucharist the same day. It taught me that the fight is never ended, no matter how far we are from lust. I love chastity, it makes me free and closer to the Lord and others. Let us not despair but trust in the Lord!

They call it a heavenly language. Hogwash! Nothing heavenly, or miraculous about it. It was specifically meant for that time & place. Only miraculous thing about it was speaking in the power of the Holy Spirit unto the diverse cultures visiting Jerusalem at that particular time. Definitely a big deception & bondage to the churches today.

Dear Catholics, Jesus sending the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as the Spirit proceeding eternally from the Father. The Father alone is the eternal Begetter and Emitter so that in the one origin - the Father - there is shown to be one divine essence and therefore one God. The Orthodox believe that the Spirit proceeded from the Father and the Son was anointed with the Spirit so the Spirit rests in Him and may be poured out by Him to us.

The Bible is a Greek document, not a book written by God, the word sin means emotions, I believe most of you don't actually know what the Bible is trying to tell you. You have up accept everyone as they are, we are all God, experiencing itself at the same time. We all come here to experience existing in this reality. If you don't know what the Bible says, read the first page where Jesus says "I speak in parables " which means the story has a hidden meaning, ALEGORY its also used, along with myth. So stop trying to be high and mighty in your understanding of the fables written inside it, if you don't know what ALEGORY, PARABLES and MYTH mean, go find a Christian dictionary

As a Protestant who has a lot of respect for the Orthodox Church, there is some bad information here considering Protestants. Much of what he said Protestant’s don’t consider they really do. The idea of Christ as physician is quite common, the idea that you’re being continuously perfected, very common teaching, it’s right there in the verse talking about how Christ continues the good work in you until that day. I am a Protestant of about 40 years. My wife’s family was Orthodox and her uncle an OCA monk. We spent many a service at the monastery on special occasions. From my view we gain little by criticizing each other. Pointing out the differences in worship and specific beliefs can be helpful but saying that one or the other doesn’t make sense just doesn’t help. My view has been that the Orthodox do better in some areas and Protestants do better in others. I would fuse much of the two ideally. The key though is that we both believe that Christ is the way the truth and the light and that no man comes to the father except through him. If you believe that, believe that you are a sinner in need of a savior and Christ is that savior and you repent of your sins, you are good to go. That doesn’t mean there isn’t much growth ahead, but there you are. I have no doubt in my mind that when we all get to heaven we will find out that there were things Protestants got right that the Orthodox missed on and other things that Orthodox got right that the Protestants missed. The key is that Christ is the center of it all and our savior. In the meantime I’d prefer to encourage each other.

One thing I have realised as I grow older, is that falling to pornography is not just the physiological desire for sex. I can abstain from porn for a while, but the lack of intimacy with women, the scarcity of social interactions with them, and the concomitant lack of opportunity to dwell into the feminine beauty, is what makes me recess. I see no way to flee from this vicious cycle, no matter how hard and humbly I pray.

As the husband of a good woman bearing our 6th anniversary, I cannot even imagine getting married in the modern understanding of the word, where you are both continually wondering what's in it for me, and asking yourself whether it is worth staying. Our commitment is total, and we are both constantly putting in the effort to make it work, because we are in this together to the end no matter what. THAT is what real marriage is!

  • @barbararooney413

Fathers advice on Marriage contains many helpful ideas for couples in 2024. It may be helpful to know that other churches offer similar advice. To be brief the Catholic Church offers Pre-Cana meetings -before marriage, Marriage Encounter Weekends - after marriage and CFM or the Christian Movement for couples in most cities on a monthly basis in their homes so we have the support of other couples and we follow an annual booklet focusing on a topic like Poverty, Immigration, Racism relevant to current events..... Although the Catholic Church has made major mistakes regarding sexuality and our youth, we are emerging from this grave failure into a future more attuned to God's plan for his people. Married couples play an important role with the priests as we prepare couples before, during and after marriage. Lay people will play a larger role in a church with fewer vocations to the priesthood or to religious life.
